Terms & Conditions

Parties

Seller: Sögne Home AS, Birkedalsveien 26, 4640 Søgne, post@sognehome.no, +47 90 07 23 90, 997 182 685. Hereinafter referred to as the seller.

Buyer: The consumer who places the order. Hereinafter referred to as the buyer.

Payment and Returns

These sales terms apply to all sales of goods from the online store to consumers. The customer’s order confirmation/placed order, together with these conditions, constitute the full contractual basis of the purchase.

These terms apply only for sales within Norway, including Svalbard and Jan Mayen. Shipping costs to the latter must be agreed by phone after order registration. Customers outside this area must contact us by mail, e-mail, or phone.

Consumer purchases are governed by the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act and the Right of Withdrawal Act. We are responsible for card transactions made through our website.

The seller may demand payment for the goods from the time they are shipped to the buyer.

If the buyer pays by credit or debit card, the seller may reserve the purchase amount on the card at the time of order. The card will be charged the same day the goods are shipped.

For payment by invoice (applies to retailers only), the invoice is issued upon shipment. The payment deadline is at least 14 days from receipt.

Delivery

Delivery has taken place once the buyer, or their representative, has received the goods.

If no delivery time is stated at checkout, the seller shall deliver the goods without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the order. Unless otherwise agreed, the goods will be delivered directly to the buyer.

Prices

All prices in Norway and EU include 25% VAT.
If VAT, taxes, or other duties change, our prices will be adjusted accordingly.

Orders

All orders are binding. You will receive an order confirmation by e-mail with all details. You will also receive updates by e-mail as your order is processed.

Payment via DIBS

The sales terms together with your order, confirmed through the order confirmation, form the contractual basis for the purchase. Shop.sognehome.no is responsible for transactions through the website.

We use 3D Secure on our site, and all transactions are processed through secure pages.

3D Secure – safer payment online
3D Secure is a shared security standard for online payments with VISA (Verified by Visa) and MasterCard (SecureCode).

If your card issuer uses 3D Secure, you will be redirected to a page where you enter a password or code from your bank (e.g., BankID). This communication is only between you and the bank; we cannot see your password or code.

For your security, we do not store your card number.

Cancellation & Refunds

As long as the order has not been processed (packed and/or shipped), you can cancel it under “My Account.” This applies only to customers with a registered account. Customers using “guest checkout” must contact us via the contact form.

If you exercise your right of withdrawal and have prepaid (e.g., with VISA/MasterCard), we will refund the amount within 14 days.

Export Restrictions

In accordance with OFAC, EU, and UN regulations, we do not sell goods to: Burma, Ivory Coast, Iraq, Iran, Congo, Cuba, Liberia, North Korea, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Syria, Belarus.

Right of Withdrawal & Returns

After receiving the products, you must, as soon as possible and within a reasonable time, check that the delivery matches the order confirmation, and that the products are undamaged and free from defects. Contact us if something is wrong and we will assist you.

If you regret your purchase, notify us by e-mail or return the goods in original packaging within 14 days from receipt (withdrawal period), together with a documented explanation. You may choose to exchange for another item or request a refund.

The withdrawal period extends to 3 months if a return form is not included with the goods.

Conditions for return:

  • Goods must be unused and resalable as new

  • All tags must remain attached

  • Original packaging must be included

You may return an item without giving a reason, but we kindly ask that you provide one on the return form.

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, and you are responsible for transport risk. Once we have received the goods in undamaged condition, we will refund the purchase amount within 30 days. Please include your bank account number on the return form for faster processing.

Note: Sale items cannot be exchanged or returned.

Force Majeure

If unforeseen circumstances prevent us from fulfilling this agreement (e.g., law changes, labor conflict, strike, lockout, war, riot, fire, explosion, or government action), our obligations are suspended as long as the extraordinary situation persists.

Age Restriction

You must be 18 years or older to shop in our online store. If you are under 18, a guardian must make the purchase on your behalf.

Defects – Buyer’s Rights and Complaint Period

If the product is defective, the buyer must notify the seller within a reasonable time after discovery. A complaint within 2 months is always considered timely. Complaints may be made up to 2 years after purchase, or 5 years if the product is expected to last significantly longer.

Depending on the situation, the buyer may demand repair, replacement, price reduction, cancellation of purchase, and/or compensation in accordance with the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act.

Complaints should be made in writing.

Resolution of Disputes

We strive to provide correct product information, but errors may occur. If disputes arise, the parties should attempt to resolve them amicably. If unsuccessful, the buyer may contact the Norwegian Consumer Council for mediation at +47 23 400 500 or www.forbrukerradet.no.
